Thames International Senior High School (TISHS) is a flexible learning program that develops skills and competencies essential to the “New Normal”.
These are the three SHS strands or programs to choose from:
- Accountancy, Business and Management (ABM) strand, Academic Track
Students will acquire fundamental skills and knowledge in accountancy, business and management. Graduates of this strand will be capable of applying their learning in their own businesses or as skilled professionals entering the workforce.
- Arts and Design (A&D) Track
Students with significant interest in the Arts (writing, performing arts, digital arts, etc.) will be trained by industry practitioners to further hone their gifts and prepare them to apply these, either in a professional or entrepreneurial setting.
- E-Commerce Program (New!)
In this new program, students will be equipped with essential skills for the new world order, like digital marketing, data analytics, project planning and AI. These will make them qualified and sought after for various roles in the E-Commerce industries.
Whichever program you choose, our commitment is to equip you with necessary skills to prepare you for college, employment, or entrepreneurship, immediately after finishing SHS.
Subjects
On top of the 33 to 34 subjects required by the Department of Education, Thames SHS adds four (4) ThamesX subjects namely:
- Foundations of the Skills of the Future
- Design Thinking Fundamentals
- Acquiring the Mindset for the Digital Age
- Social Entrepreneurship
For the Learn & Earn scholars, students will be taking on additional self learning modules that culminate in certification tests. This will earn them globally recognized and industry-sought certifications, making them employment-ready in the new global economy.
With Thames SHS Advance Classes, I liked how the academics were still tight, well-planned, and challenging. This is important to us students since it stretches our brains and makes us critical thinkers. Modular Delivery & Schedule
Our academic modular delivery allows students to take and finish 4 subjects per quarter (or 10 weeks)*. This leads them to have better focus on the lessons and manage the academic workload more efficiently.
*versus taking 8-10 subjects simultaneously for one semester (or 5 months).

Program Details
SUBJECTS
The SHS program will continue to run on a flexible academic modular delivery for the school year 2021-2022. The modules (subjects) will be delivered on a quarterly basis. A student can enroll and take 4 -5 modules per quarter.
Apart from the 33-34 prescribed DepEd subjects, TISHS adds 4 ThamesX (Skills for the New Normal) subjects namely:

ONLINE PROGRAM DELIVERY
The online classes consists of asynchronous activities such as pre-recorded video lectures, practical exercises and activities, case studies, reflections, and online assessments via the NEO-LMS, the Learning Management System of Thames. These LMS activities are supported by synchronous live sessions via Zoom. This supports the visual, experiential, and interactive learning mode characteristics of the Generation Z. Aside from the academic offerings, TISHS is also taking into account the extra-curricular experience of the students. This, our school has a calendar of online student activities prepared for the school year.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
- Applicants for Grade 11 must be currently enrolled in or have completed Grade 10 with any public or private schools at the time of application. Likewise, Grade 12 applicants must have finished Grade 11 level.
- Applicants must not have failing grades in any of the subjects in Grade 10 (for Grade 11 entry) or Grade 11 (for Grade 12 entry), and must have good deportment records. Grade 12 entrants and/or transferees must submit transfer credentials from the previous school.
- All applicants must go through a personal interview.
- All applicants must submit a duly accomplished application form.
- All applicants must pay a non-refundable and non-transferrable application processing fee of PHP600.00.

For International Students who are not coming from a Philippine educational institution, the above also apply and have the following additional requirements: Copy of passport, Certified translation (c/o consulate or embassy) of any pertinent documents not in English.
YOUR FUTURE
Graduates of SHS ABM Strand may choose to continue higher education in the field of accountancy, business, management or become an entrepreneur with their own business at a young age.
Thames SHS graduates are accepted automatically into the undergraduate programs of Thames International Business School. Outstanding students may get credit exemptions to selected Undergraduate subjects.
Thames International Business School students have the flexibility to graduate in the Philippines with Degrees in Entrepreneurship, Business Administration and Communication Arts OR they can choose to finish their degree in the UK, Australia or Singapore among the partner universities of Thames.
